First Full Week...

has been very busy. Finn and Tali started 1st grade on Tuesday, but Monday night was Meet the Teacher night. They are in separate rooms, but across the hall from each other. They see each other on recess and are doing really well making new friends in their own rooms. Finn's teacher is Mrs. Morris and Tali has Mr. Yukonovich. They both have projects due on Sept. 17th. I have been wracking my brain on how to do them, but I am stumped

Goodbye Sheep

Today we said goodbye to our entire flock of sheep. They are going to a very nice couple who live in Leetonia which is a bit south of Columbiana. The couple are very nice, young with a small boy and a baby on the way. They seem like they are good people and I hope will take good care of them, especially my girls. I spent the morning sitting with them in the January sun enjoying a last, quiet and calm moment with them. I took lots of pictures.

When Chuch arrived at 2:00 we trimmed the boy's hooves and gave them some Ivomec. Then we loaded up the girls into a huge stock trailer. Ellie jumped right in, which was kinda funny, but totally expected with her. The three men had to carry both of the boys. Not an easy feet. All in all it went really well and was a trouble free loading. Now, hopefully they will not contract shipping fever along the way. I am hoping that since they are all going together it will be less stressful.

We put Mr. Tumnus in with the boys because he was getting too aggressive with the pregnant does. Romeo immediately made him his bitch and Mr. Tumnus is running around bleating his head off trying to get away from Romeo.

We separated Ivy and Juliette from the rest of the does and put them in the old sheep area. Now goat area. Juliette has been very scrawny and sickly lately and we are hoping that if we get her away from the senior does we will be able to fatten her up. We hit her heavily with Ivomec and Panacur and I think that did the trick.
